Bench In Antique Brown
What year was my antique dressing table made? All I know is it was brought over on a wagon train?
It’s got a lot of designs all over it made out this dark brown molding of some kind(which is cracking and falling off in places). It’s got three drawers on both sides with a long mirror attached in between. The long mirror has a little shelf at the bottom and two little side mirrors hinged on that fold in. It has matching little bench. Solid wood, lots of fancy detail and well made. I would like to hear all info that can be provided about it, thanks.
It’s hard to evaluate without seeing it, but furniture from years ago often has a paper label or manufacturer information under one of the drawers or possibly inside one of them or on the bottom underneath the table or bench. It might be very faded by now, so look carefully. If you find an info, you’d have a better chance of doing some research on the internet by using whatever name/company you find. Otherwise, take some good pictures and take them to an antique dealer or appraiser (you could also take along one drawer for visual help).
