Attractive, comfortable, outdoor patio furniture will make the most of your outdoor living space. There are various styles and materials used, but your budget is an important consideration in determining what will be an affordable patio furniture set. There are alternatives from simple $10 stackable resin chairs to intricate sets that cost thousands of dollars.
One of the first things to consider is what kind of patio furniture you need. How much room do you have, how many people will be using it and most of all, how will they use it. If you have a small balcony area, you could use a casual patio furniture pub set with two stools. If you have a larger deck, patio or porch, a full sized dining table with six to eight chairs would give your friends and family a place to eat together.

If you live in a windy, warmer climate you may use your furniture year round but you may need to purchase heavier wrought iron, cast iron or teak furniture to prevent wind damage. Vinyl covers can be used for your luxury patio furniture when heavy rain is in the forecast. This is especially recommended if patio furniture cushions are involved.
If you live in a colder part of the country with a true winter, you will most likely take your outside patio furniture inside for the winter season. This would be better for safety and to keep your furniture in excellent condition for years to come. Consider how much storage space you have for your patio furniture and whether there is the option to take it apart for more condensed storage.
If you are purchasing patio furniture that you want to last for many years, look for a 10-15 year manufacturer’s warranty to protect your investment. Also, inquire as to the availability of replacement parts and additional pieces for the future.
