Log Ottoman
Is it possible to encourage my son to…?
lift his head up during tummy time?
He just tends to sit there like a bump on a log. He’ll turn his head side to side but after a couple of minutes, he gets frustrated and starts crying.
He is 6 weeks. When I put him on my chest, he is very good about holding up his head but if I put him on our bed or the floor or our ottoman, he just lays there.
I’m not trying to make it sound like I want him to hold his head up steady or anything. I just want him to try.. he makes no effort at all to lift his head up when he’s not on mine or daddy’s chest.
I haven’t tried a mat but maybe that could work.
try something like a rolled blanket or boppy under his shoulders where he can see and get on the floor with him with a colorful toy or book and see if he will look around more….
